Reunion Plans/Schedule

Here are some plans/schedule of events. Our first communal meal will take place on Saturday afternoon between 4 & 6 pm. We will BBQ burgers, hotdogs, and offer chips, baked beans, water, lemonade, etc. The second communal meal will be a Sunday brunch to be served around 11am. It will consist of muffins, fruit, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee. Since people will be coming in at different times over the course of the weekend, feel free to drop in anytime on Friday, Saturday and when it comes time you are hungry, people can either order in (pizza, etc.) or go out to eat. Goodies, munchies, water and coffee will be available. We will not be fixing Friday night meal, Saturday morning breakfast or lunch. You are encouraged to bring snacks/goodies to share. On Saturday night, after dinner, we will share a slide show. Steve VG will bring his scanner with him for those who pack pictures along that we can scan for the slide show. PLEASE BRING YOUR PICS & STORIES TO SHARE !! I have received some family history from Sonny for his family already. If you don't get time before the reunion begins, please visit with your family about bringing your side of the family's geneaology, and contact information to share with the group. We will arrange to have some fun activities for the children who come as well. We will "pass-the-hat" to cover food & hospitality expenses incurred by the planners. If there are food allergies or special needs that you might have, please let us know so that we can accomodate you.

Van Gilder Reunion 2010 - Janice's Home - August 13 - 15

As we draw nearer to our reunion, here is some more information regarding how we will spend our time together. For those arriving Friday, Aug. 13, come to Janice's for an informal gathering. On Saturday we will hold a late afternoon BBQ to be followed by a slide show and story telling. On Sunday, we will share a brunch which will be served at 11 am. Please bring your family pictures and be willing to share family stories. Steve Van Gilder is the "Slideshow Guy" - so if you have pictures you can post or send digitally ASAP he can build the slideshow before he comes. There will be fun and games. Please collaborate on your side of the family who will produce the family tree...include names, birthdates and contact information which can be photocopied and handed out at the reunion. Pictures can be emailed to Steve Van Gilder at s_vangilder@hotmail.com or call Steve at (406) 781-2232. If you are unable to attend, please send Steve any/all family information before the reunion so that he can share it. We will be taking family pictures and making them available to any & all who wish to have them. In terms of meals & costs...we will "Pass the Hat" to make sure that we cover the expenses.
